Warranty and Returns
We believe our products must meet and exceed your highest expectations, and our service must live up to the quality of our products. If for any reason you need to return your order, it’s easy!
In accordance with EU legislation, customers in Europe have a 24-month warranty (i.e. repair, exchange or refund the faulty item) from the date they received the goods. The customer is responsible for inspecting the received products after delivery. You must address your complaint within a reasonable time. Any faults or defects should be reported to Salmologic ApS within two months after discovery. A two month period will always be considered a reasonable period of time.
In case the product has a fault or defect which is not caused by abuse, modification or misuse and the fault can be verified by Salmologic ApS, Salmologic ApS will exchange, replace or repair the product free of charge. In the unlikely event, that you have received a faulty or incorrect product, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org quoting your order reference and contact details.
Returning Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Goods
When a warranty claim is made, the customer is required to present proof of purchase.
We warrant that the product will be delivered undamaged in the quantities ordered.
The product is intended to be used strictly in accordance with the instructions as set out on the site or as on the product itself. It is your responsibility to ensure that you use the product strictly in accordance with those instructions.
We try very hard to deliver products in excellent condition. However, if you inform us that the product is faulty, you agree to keep the product in its current condition available for us to inspect within a reasonable time.
In order to provide you with any remedies for a faulty product, we may need your assistance and prompt provision of certain information regarding the product, including you specifying with reasonable detail the way in which it is alleged that the product is damaged or defective; and you providing us with the delivery note number or order/invoice number and such other information as we reasonably require.
If you would like us to repair, replace or provide a refund for the product where it did conform to the applicable contract, and we find that the product has been
A) misused, abused or subjected to neglect, improper or inadequate care, carelessness, damage or abnormal conditions; or
B) been involved in any accident or damage caused by an incorrect attempt at modification or repair; or
C) been dealt with or used contrary to our or the manufacturer's instructions for the product; or
D) deteriorated through normal wear and tear, after delivery by us, we may at our discretion decide not to repair, replace or refund you for the product.

We expect that you return the products in a secured package that ensures it is protected from damage in transit. Always retain your proof of payment of the return postage expenses. If you choose to return the goods, regardless of the situation, you will have the risk and liability for damage to the goods during transport in returning the goods to us until we have taken physical possession of the goods. As the item is your responsibility until it reaches us, we recommend that you send the parcel with a delivery service that insures you for the value of the items you are shipping. However, please note that insurance is optional and you will therefore be responsible for any insurance charges, as these will not be refunded by us.
Postal costs: You will be responsible for the initial return postage costs. If the returned product is verified by us as a valid claim covered under warranty, or you are returning an incorrect item then these (reasonable and standard) postage costs (not including insurance) will be refunded to you if proof is supplied to us. A photograph or scan of your receipt is acceptable. Please contact us at: email@example.com prior to shipping any returns so that we may assist you with the procedure.
Upon receiving the product, we will inspect it and issue a refund, repair or a replacement (as requested) if appropriate. This is subject to our confirmation of the fault. We will usually refund your money using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase. We will do this within 14 days of receiving the items you have returned to us. For orders within Denmark, Salmologic will refund the customer the (reasonable and standard) return postage (not including insurance) for returning any defective or incorrect goods. We will issue a refund after the defect has been verified by us and we have received a copy of the postal receipt. However, please contact us prior to shipping any returns, as we may decide to schedule pick-up of the item by GLS or other carrier on our account.
PLEASE NOTE: In the event of us sending you a replacement for any damaged, defective or incorrect goods, you must return the original goods to us before we can send out a replacement product. Provided you ship the goods to us and they arrive undamaged, we will have a replacement item shipped or have the original item repaired and then shipped back to you. However, if for any reason you do not return the original item to us, we reserve the right to refuse any refund amount up to the full purchase price.
For international returns – Salmologic ApS will not accept customs charges incurred when returning items. All packages must be marked “Goods returned under warranty”
Note! We do not receive packages marked ”Cash on delivery”.
The Salmologic Warranty on rods and reels
Every new Salmologic rod and reel is covered by our original owner warranty for a period of two years from date of purchase. The warranty covers against any defects in material or workmanship.
The warranty is limited to repair and replacement of the rod or reel and does not cover direct, indirect, consequential, incidental or any other type of damage resulting from the use of the product. This warranty does not cover any intentional breakage or damage, modification or customization of the finished product. The warranty is null and void if you exceed the recommended line rating for the rod, or if you alter the finish of the rod.
Salmologic reserves the right to determine whether to repair or replace any salmologic product covered by this warranty and the right to replace any discontinued models with comparable models when necessary. Colors and components and serial numbers may vary between original and replacement parts.
The warranty is only valid if you have registered your purchase on our website and can provide the original receipt. The warranty registration must be completed within 30 days of purchase.
In order to have a product serviced, send the product directly to us, please send the entire product, freight prepaid. Package the product either in its original packaging, or in packaging affording an equal degree of protection as the original packaging.
Include a note with your name, shipping address, phone and E-mail address (if available), as well as a brief explanation of the nature of the problem.
